VINTAGE 1920s/30s WISCONSIN EVANS PAINTED CANVASBACK DRAKE DUCK DECOYNR
VINTAGE EVANS CANVASBACK DRAKE DUCK DECOY. This particular bird is a Canvasback drake made in Wisconsin either the late 1920s or the early 1930s. It is a'Standard' Model decoy with the front plug. The paint clearly shows wear consistent with age and normal use. But, I believe the paint is all original, which to some die-hard collectors is the most important thing in an old decoy.
This bird has a fantastic patina, form and eye appeal. On the underside it has the Evans Decoy mark, a handwritten labeling/identification on masking tape and a branded'B'. 12" long and 5" wide, with a total length tip of bill to end of tail approx.
This desireable Wisconsin duck decoy has great form and eye appeal. It would make a great addition to any collection.Please look at all the photos.
