A nice decoy from a famous local carver. This is a really beautiful White Swan Decoy by Jim Pierce of Havre de Grace, MD. The weighted keel is shown hanging down. There are also hooks and eyes to stabalize the keel.

The hooks and tie eye are what would be seen in a hunting decoy. Markings - Carvers engraved signature, see pictures. Swan measures approximately 28 1/2 long x 27" tall (excluding stand) x 11" wide.

Condition This is in original untouched condition with its original paint. The actual swan is much whiter than it looks in the pictures because the background faded out the bird in the pictures. A couple of spots darkened by wood sap bleeding through paint. One ding near tail which is visible in last picture if you enlarge the picture.

See pictures and ask questions if you need more information. I suspect it would very expensive because the swan is so large and could be subject to breakage.
