Vintage Illinois River pintail hen duck decoy. Older decoy in restored paint.
This decoy has a lot of similarities to a Charles Schoenheider Sr pintail as shown in plate 284 in the book "Decoys and Decoy Carvers of Illinois " see last pic posted to compare. Neck seat raised and very slightly loose showing paint/filler cracking. Tight cracking at tail and mild body seam separation. Please refer to pics for condition. This is a very sleek design with the round very pronounced breast.Hollow body and 15.5 inches long. Weighs only 1lb 3.2 ounces. It's driving me crazy seeing my packages make no progress in a week. Parcel select is an option at checkout, but be aware it's SLOW and don't complain it's slow.
