Vintage Mason Factory Challenge Grade Black Duck Decoy Near Mint! Very Early
It is in fine original paint protected by a thin coat of varnish. This old decoy is nearly flawless and still has its original neck filler and glass eyes. There is a very tight age check on the back and some separation at a knot on the right side. There may have been a tiny surface tail chip that has been repaired...
Tough to tell for certain. This decoy is rigged but was obviously very lightly used. There are only a couple of very tiny rubs to the tips of the tail and bill.
This is simply a terrific, very early decoy that would be a great addition to any serious collectors inventory. Measures 16-1/2 long; 6 wide and 7-1/4 tall. Please ask questions or for more pictures.
