Here is a well carved and rare pair of solid wood hand carved Canvasback Decoys from the infamous Havre de Grace, MD carver R. Both decoys are circa 1945. Drake is in gunning repaint on base with original paint on head and back. Hen is a mint and has a great Mitchell alligator repaint in. Two beautiful Mitchell birds from the the a Upper Chesapeake Bay Sesquahanna Flats region where Waterfowl Market and Sport hunting began. Retiring overseas in a year...
