Vintage Pintail Drake Decoy By California Carver Seth "Tiny" Barry. The decoy measures 18 inches long, 6 1nches wide, the overall heigjht is 8 1/4 incheswith a 4 1/4 inch head on a 1 inch raised neck seat. I recent years the head has been renailed and reglued to the seat. There is a minor chip to the underside of the bill. There is average wear to the perimeter of the decoy, which has the original Barry paint pattern for his drake decoys.
There are several minor shrink cracks, in the body but the overall decoy is basically intact and in good shape. The rasp and tool marks are still visible thru the paint surface. The John Patterson designed, lead weight is still intact, along with the tie line eye screw, and the bottom has a brand with the initials LHT, probably the initials of the owner of the rig. It is a very nice well preserved working decoy.
