Vintage Ward Brothers Mallard Drake Wooden Duck Decoy
A vintage wooden decoy of a mallard drake duck. I've been told by another e bayer that this is a Ward Brothers decoy, from Crisfield, MD. It is about 17 1/2 long from tip of beak to end of tail. The base is about 6 1/2 across.
The decoy is nicely painted, with glass eyes and carved nostrils. Overall it is in very nice vintage condition, with no cracks or breaks. A fine addition to your collection! I've added a few more photos. There is a number engraved on the bottom of the decoy - it looks like 270 36 1225 27. Also, please see pics regarding presence of what appears to be varnish.
